This group is charged "to develop the definition of functional and operational needs for an institutional-wide digital repository service," making a recommendation regarding the establishment of an institutional digital repository. This resource is expected to be situated in the library, with patron and ingress support by the library and the technical support of IT services.

Our tasks include

  1. Determining the need and advisability of establishing a DR
  2. Recommending an appropriate software solution;
  3. Recommending implementation practices regarding:

Open Source Action Team

The Open Source Action team is looking at issues of accessibility to university documents in terms of default object formats and available software .

The team seeks to make recommendations on

1. Default recommended formats for the circulation of university materials (documents, media, etc.)

2. The advisability of adding support for open source software solutions for common productivity tasks.
